Moving home can be an exciting time. But it can be stressful too, with lots of decisions to make and questions to ask. That’s why we’ve put together some of the answers for you!

 

Are the apartments Freehold or Leasehold?

The apartments are Leasehold.

How long is the lease for?

The length of the lease is 125 years.

Can my family visit me and stay overnight?

Yes. All our developments have a comfortable guest suite where friends and relatives can stay while they visit you.

Are there communal areas?

Yes. Every Golden Living development has a bright, open residents’ lounge – perfect for entertaining or just relaxing and watching the world go by.

Are there lifts?

Yes Golden Living provide lifts as well as stairs in their developments.

Which company manages the development for Golden Living?

The development is managed by Peverel Management Services Ltd. Peverel are leaders in the day to day management of retirement schemes and provide a cost effective, efficient and comprehensive management service.

What does the service charge cover?

The service charge covers the external maintenance of the building and grounds including the cleaning of the outside windows and maintaining the landscaping. Heating and lighting of all communal areas, water rates, buildings insurance, security systems and the cost of providing the resident estate manager.

Can my pet move in with me? 

Yes. You are welcome to bring small pets with you, providing written permission from the management company is obtained prior to you moving and the pet does not cause a nuisance to other apartment owners. Please note: Pets are not allowed in the residents lounge, guest suite or laundry room.

Can somebody be a resident in the development that is under the age requirement in the lease?

No. All residents must comply with the age restriction; however visitors can come to stay as guests in your home for short periods.

Has the Resident Estate Manager nursing training? 

No. It is not part of the Estate Managers duties to provide nursing care.
